"I can't work with these conditions!"

"I can't work with these conditions!" Yes, those are the words spoken by this 9-year-old boy (B) today. LOL! His five-year-old sister (M) was being silly with him and he'd had enough. I couldn't believe it when I heard him say that! And sweet little M was a little decorator. She loved when I pulled out the Christmas props... made herself right at home and started decorating away! I left her decorations out for a few shots (the silly faces one below, for example) and then pulled most of them back out. When I told her, "Let's do some with your decorating, and then I'll take most of them back out" her brother told her, "And by most she really means all." LOL! It's soooo funny working with older kids instead of babies sometimes. I just love hearing the funny things they say! That reminds me of one more funny one... M was getting tired of pictures and told me, "You can take three more." I laughed, not realizing exactly how serious she was, and snapped one and she told me, "That's one." I snapped another. "That's two." I snapped another. "That's three." And she got up and walked out to take a break. What a hoot!

It was so nice to meet you guys!

new faces...

I just love meeting new people! Especially when they have cute little girls! These sweetie pies are E (age 3) and B (age 18 months). We rescheduled this session a handful of times for a bunch of different reasons (they were sick, I was sick, doctor appointments, etc.). I think their mom was about ready to give up and wait until spring, but hopefully she's glad we worked out an appointment!

getting ready for #2...

The last time I saw the B family was when their little girl was about three weeks old. She just recently turned two and they're expecting #2 in December! Can't wait to see the new baby... and find out if it's a boy or a girl!

Such a silly girl! She wanted nothing to do with having her pictures taken, until we discovered that she thought it was the most hysterical thing in the world to scare me. She started with growling "Roar!" and then moved on to scaring me with the flower. The more scared I acted, the harder she laughed and the better pictures I got! Too funny! (And I'm TOTALLY jealous of her eyelashes!)

See you later this month for your Christmas mini session! Can't wait to see your pretty Christmas dress, M! (She comes to me every year and always has a gorgeous dress, shoes, etc. and has her hair all done up. Even my husband recognizes her as "the cute little girl with the pretty hair." LOL!)

Halloween costume mini-sessions today...

Hello Everyone! I know a handful of you have contacted me saying you'll probably be here for pics today, but I wanted to give a warning before you come. Everyone in my family has been sick this week, with fevers and cold/flu symptoms. No idea what we've had. I am still up for taking pictures today, especially since these sessions will only last a few minutes each. I don't feel horrible anymore, though I do sound awful. I just wanted to warn you all in case you'd rather not risk catching whatever this is that we've had over here. Another option is taking your child's costume pictures out in my yard, with pumpkins and fallen leaves. No cooties out there! Just cold and wind, but no rain! LOL! Please let me know if you're planning on coming today. Thank you! And... Happy Halloween!
